Drummer wasn’t supposed to have a Joy Session. He was scheduled for a regular studio session, and at 13 years old, he was doing really well. Then two days before our session, he went to the U of M and was found to have a cancerous tumor in his spleen. Even with surgery, his life expectancy would only be about 1 to 3 months.
