I was so sad to hear that sweet, old Sadie needed a Joy Session. I always loved seeing her friendly face at dog events around town. She was never much for having her picture taken at those events, but she did a great job for our shoot. She had a malignant tumor on her shoulder, and you can see a little bit of her shaved arm in some of the photos. We had scheduled the session weeks ahead of time, but Sadie unexpectedly went downhill fast, and we were lucky to have a beautiful evening the day her mom contacted me. These types of sessions are so important, and can be so unpredictable, I always make time as soon as I can to accommodate them. My other clients are very understanding about moving their own schedules around if need be, and I know how much the owners appreciate that. I’m going to miss seeing Sadie and her beautiful face.
sweet….precious…beautiful. I so LOVE what you do in your “Joy” sessions. Touches my heart in a way words cannot describe.
Keep up the awesome and meaningful work Sarah!
There is nothing more precious than an older dog. You captured her essence beautifully. What a face!
Thank you so much Sarah! I can’t tell you enough how much it means to me that I get to see my sweet girl’s face again. Your work and compassion are amazing and your photos are beautiful!
i wish i could “like” someone else’s comments because i would definitely like lisa’s. i completely agree and share her sentiments.
Priceless!
Just want to go on record that I think it is awesome that you do joy sessions. Losing a part of your family is so hard and I’m sure these images give people some comfort.
