I was excited to photograph a tri-pawed today, (my first!) and hopefully help him get adopted! Flash is a Belgian Malinois mix, being fostered through Wags and Whiskers Animal Rescue. He suffered radial limb paralysis, most likely from an old injury. A week ago, he had that leg amputated, and he’s doing great! He’s about a year and a half, and is ready for his forever home. All his medical fees were donated by a very generous man, who is also an amputee, a veteran from Iraq. Flash is a very handsome boy, eager to please, good with both dogs and cats, and would benefit from some training to work out the puppy-ness! I love these images….. I find them a bit jarring, a little uneasy, but that’s what I love about them.
Oh my gosh, what a gorgeous, gorgeous pup!!
Sarah, you must give yourself more credit- you have photographed the Home for Life dogs, many who have 3 legs, are paraplegics, ect. love the photos of Flash- we hope he finds a loving home!
oh lisa, you’re right! i was only thinking about dogs in the studio, but the HFL dogs were definitely my first :)
We have a wonderful three legged black lab at home. Trust me having three legs doesn’t stop her from doing anything. She still managed to get on the table on thanksgiving to eat the pumpkin pie ;) Hope Flash finds a loving forever home.
these are genius. thank you so much for donating your talents to wags, and flash!
I LOVE these! The photo of just his three legs is so great :) I hope he finds a home soon!
yes, i can vouch for the pie eating…i was there;)! and not only that, but she went back for more later! we love her, three legs and all.
flash is beautiful and have loving eyes…no doubt someone will open their hearts and home;)
Just look at that face…and those eyes! What courage I see there. Beautiful and touching pictures.
Great photos – I adopted a 3-legged pup a few months back and couldn’t be happier. She is just as capable and happy as as any other dog. I wish all of the best for Flash!
I love these beautiful photos and this spunky dog! I hope he finds his forever home soon. Your pictures, no doubt, will help people who haven’t met him to see him as a gentle, courageous and loving – the perfect companion!
