Our Rescue of the Month for April was the Upper Midwest chapter of the English Springer Rescue of America (ESRA). I love working with ESRA, and this is the fifth year we’ve featured them in our Giving Back program. As you may know (I think I’ve shared this every year!), I grew up with a Springer / Lab mix named Sam, so the Springers hold a special place in my heart :)
Our chapter of ESRA serves Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and the Dakotas. They’re a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, rescuing and rehoming Springer Spaniels. Along with fostering dogs and making donations, you can help them out in other ways, like organizing raffles or garage sales, or simply shopping online!
Mandy is working on losing some weight, and they’ll soon be removing a benign lump from her shoulder. She’s a sweet girl, and has already come a long way in her foster home!
Sadie and Suzie came to ESRA when their owner went into hospice care. They’ve had a lot of change in a short amount of time, and they’re getting ready to find their new forever home. These girls are very bonded, and will likely be adopted out together.
Look for Mandy, Sadie and Suzie on ESRA’s Petfinder page soon.
