The dog I grew up with – Sam – was a Springer Spaniel / Black Lab mix, so I’ve always loved the Springers. The October Rescue of the Month is the Upper Midwest Chapter of the English Springer Rescue America (ESRA). This all-volunteer organization takes in and fosters Springers from owner-relinquishments, animal control impounds and shelters. They also post listings of available Springers and Springer mixes throughout the country. All dogs adopted out from ESRA are vetted, spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and personality screened to fit your lifestyle.
Two of their currently adoptable dogs came into the studio for some new head shots. Nine year old Harley has some of the softest fur I’ve ever felt. He’s handsome, curly, and ready for his new home with a curl-up-able couch to relax on.
Gaby is a sweet 7 year old girl who is great with people, dogs and cats. Gaby even has her very own Facebook page! Check it out to keep up with her weight loss milestones, and cute photos and videos from her foster mom.
Check out their website if you’re interested in volunteering or fostering with ESRA, or just want to peek at the adoptable cuties. Follow their Facebook page for current events, updates on the dogs, and opportunities to purchase some ESRA gear.
