14 year old Shadow came into the studio for her Joy Session with her family. Her boy carried her in because her back legs don’t work so well anymore. They grew up together, Shadow and her boy. You could feel the love and the sadness this family felt for their old girl, and that she felt for her family. I just love old Golden Retrievers…. their beautiful grey faces, their loyalty. You’re a good girl, Shadow.
This is Shadow’s best friend, Sophie.
I’m pretty sure she was giving me the “stink eye”
Your Joy sessions get me choked up every time. These are great- I love the one of Sophie looking at Shadow. She seems so dignified you can tell she is a very well loved girl. Great job!
Smiling and choking up at the same time…oh so sweet.
you are beyond fantastic sarah.
Beautiful and touching as always.
Oh my, so bittersweet. She looks like a wonderful girl. Beautiful as usual Sarah.
Wow. I love old goldens. My golden is almost 9. Scary to think she’s getting older.
This session is just beautiful.
I shot my first session similar to this (*Blessed Sessions*) a few weeks ago. It was hard and the reaction from the client made it all worth it.
Again, beautiful work!
Oh my goodness – the stink eye is FABULOUS! The other photos are beautiful, especially the first, but that stink eye one made me burst out laughing!
Just beautiful, Sarah.
This is just beautiful, Sarah. The last image is my favorite.
