You might be old enough to remember the heyday of dog friendly events in and around Minneapolis, from about 2009-2013 or so. We had Sushi With Your Poochie, Wine and Wag, Beer With Your Buddy; it felt like every week there was something fun to bring your dog to and socialize with other pet parents.

While those classic events are sadly no longer happening, some are still going strong like the NE Dog Parade (now the East Bank Dog Parade), Ragom’s Goldzilla, Paws on Grand, and Linden Hills Woofstock (not happening this year but will be back next year).

New ones have popped up like Barks and Brews at Smash Park in Roseville, happening in just a couple of days on July 10th. And the Home For Life Beach Party is coming up in September.
You can bring your dog to the MN Renaissance Festival as well as many restaurant patios and breweries around the cities.

Going on vacation? Find dog-friendly lodging or camping to bring your pal along, or a first-rate pet sitter to give him a little time away as well.
Maybe you’d like to explore a little closer to home and take in one of the many beautiful parks and lakes around Minneapolis.
Whatever you choose to do with your dog this summer you can support more local businesses by keeping them cool in a Gold Paw Sun Shield Tee, secure in a Mendota Pet handcrafted leash, and full of delicious Stashios treats.

And don’t forget to capture those summer memories with custom professional pet photography session!
